Week 5 – Supporting a Healthy Small Business Culture
Week 6 – Target Marketing for your clients and yourself
Week 7 – Roadmap to a successful Small Business Coaching Practice

Plus 15 related readings for pre and post class learning.
Students will be asked to work in groups and teams and participate in weekly forum discussions. All classes are recorded. Private online learning portal included for the duration of the course.

The best way to learn is by doing. This weekend intensive is designed to bring full value of the SBC coaching model to life so that when you are done, you can start successfully delivering on the Systems Business Coaching promise.
Proposed Schedule:
Day 1: Evening Class
- Session 1: Introductions & Overview We begin with introductions to the course, participants, and instructors.
- Session 2: Effective Small Business Coaching Model We’ll explore the Effective Small Business Coaching Model, discussing each step: Presence, Possible, Plan, Perform.
- Session 3: Leadership: Values A concentrated discussion on Small Business Leadership competencies, with a focus on Values.
- Session 4: Leadership: Purpose We’ll reflect on the significance of purpose in leadership
Day 2: Full Day Class
- Session 1: Systems Thinking & Operations An introduction to systems thinking and its role in small business operations. We’ll look at case studies and engage in practice coaching exercises.
- Session 2: Finance This session covers the approach to small business finance from a coaching perspective. The importance of bookkeeping and understanding financial statements will be highlighted.
- After a Lunch Break:
- Session 3: Team Building We’ll delve into a coach’s approach to Team Building in a Small Business.
- Session 4: Position Agreement & Client Acquisition Activities include writing a position agreement and exploring marketing strategies for personal business coaching services.
- Session 5: Hiring Process This session will provide coaching insights into the hiring process and managing contractors.
Day 3: Full Day Class
- Session 1: Building Your Coaching Practice Our focus will be on strategies coaches can employ to build and market their practice.
- Session 2: Further Application & Practice We’ll explore further case studies and practice opportunities to solidify concepts learnt.
- After a Lunch Break:
- Session 3: Integration & Review This session integrates all steps in the Effective Small Business Coaching Model, and includes a review of key concepts.
- Session 4: Q&A and Role-Playing Exercises We’ll address lingering questions or concerns and conduct role-playing exercises for skill practice.
- Session 5: Celebrations & Wrap Up We conclude with a celebration of course completion and achievements, as well as a discussion on next steps for continued development as a coach
UK Certification will be held over 3 days starting November 9th, 2023.
